Georgia Maps

These graphic representations of Georgia can be helpful in understanding species distributions throughout the state. It is the largest state, geographically, east of the Mississippi River and comprises a great diversity of habitats within four major physiographic regions: the Blue Ridge Mountains in the northeast; the Ridge and Valley province in the northwest, the wide Piedmont across the middle of the state, and the extensive Coastal Plain bordered by 100 miles of coast line.
